About The Event
We are celebrating Earth Day with Mary Lou from Be the Soultion to Pollution on Social Justice Sunday! Coffee and conversation after service.
Mary Lou earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Bridgewater State College in 1992. She has been a professional nanny since 1994.
In 2011 she started the group, Be the Solution to Pollution, in order to clean up South Coast shorelines and teach the public about plastic pollution and its connection to climate change.
Mary Lou was trained as a Climate Reality Leader in 2020 and is a member of Climate Reality Project: SouthCoast Massachusetts. She is also a member of the Plastic Free Massachusetts Coalition and the Zero Waste Rhode Island Coalition.
She has testified many times before legislators to encourage the passing of bills to reduce polystyrene and single use plastic pollution.
