Flower Communion 100th Anniversary- Rev. Karen
“It is worthwhile to live and fight courageously for sacred ideals.” -Norbert Capek
This Sunday we will join UU congregations all over the world who are celebrating the anniversary of the Flower Communion, begun by Norbert Capek 100 years ago this month. Our church has a special connection to this special ceremony because Norbert’s wife, Maja Capek, served as the minister of North Church in New Bedford from 1941-44. Please bring a flower (or a few flowers) to add to our bouquet!
