Our office door is at 71 Eighth Street, at basement level (office open Monday through Friday 9-1 except July and August).
Our front door faces Union Street between County and Eighth Streets in downtown New Bedford.
Detailed driving directions:
From Interstate 195, take exit 15 marked "Route 18 South/ Downtown New Bedford." Go 1.25 miles. At second traffic lights, turn right onto Union St. (the ferry terminals will be to your left). Go 0.3 miles up the hill on Union St. After the 4th traffic light, take next right onto 8th St. First Unitarian is the big stone building at corner of Union and 8th St.
From Route 6, turn south at County Street in downtown New Bedford. Pass through one set of lights and take the next left onto William Street. Then take the first right onto 8th Street and you'll see the back of the church, a big stone building right on 8th St.
Parking:
On Sundays, please park in either of the two Eighth St. lots behind the church, including the one that says “Permit Parking Only.” If the lots are full, you'll find extensive legal, free (on Sunday) parking on the streets around our church. Please check signs carefully to be sure you are parked legally.
(On weekdays, please do not park in the “Permit Parking Only” lot, and be sure to feed the meters for street parking.)
